Child Find

Canpar has been proud to support Child Find since 2001. Child Find is dedicated to reducing the incidence of missing and exploited children. They help in the search and recovery of missing children and the work to educate the public to prevent the occurrence of missing children and youths. Canpar assists by distributing ID kits to hospitals for new parents and delivers missing-children posters to distribution points.

Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation/CIBC Run for the Cure

Canpar has been a proud national corporate sponsor since 1998. In addition to free shipping of material, Canpar usually has two vehicles and a number of volunteers at these run sites to offer on-the-spot support. Canpar also extends its support year round with a number of Canpar delivery trucks across Canada that displays the "Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure" logo.

Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life

Since 1997, Canpar Transport has been a steadfast supporter of the national AIDS Walk for Life; the Canadian AIDS Society’s premier annual fundraising event held in September each year. Canpar has provided delivery of the promotional materials to walk sites across the country thereby actively supporting the effort to raise awareness and funds in support of Canadians living with, and affect by, HIV/AIDS in your community.

In addition, Canpar has contributed to several other Canadian AIDS Society projects and initiatives over the years. The Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life is a project of the Canadian AIDS Society in partnership with the British Columbia Persons with AIDS Society, the AIDS Committee of Toronto and community-based AIDS Organizations across Canada.

Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) "Drive Safe" campaign

The R.I.D.E. "Drive Safe" campaign helps support the efforts of the police across the province in setting up driver spot checks on provincial highways, lakes and rivers to reduce the incidents of drinking and driving. Canpar has proudly supported the R.I.D.E. program since 2003.

Reach for the Rainbow (R.F.T.R.)

Reach for the Rainbow develops integrated opportunities for children and young adults with disabilities. Canpar has provided shipping services to support the R.F.T.R. since 2002.

Toshiba Breath of Life Challenge

The Toshiba Breath of Life Challenge is a charity ski series which supports research into cystic fibrosis. Canpar has provided shipping services to support the charity since 2000.

CNIB

Canpar supports the annual crocus sale by coordinating the delivery of the crocuses. CNIB is a nationwide, community based charity that is committed to public education, research and the vision health of all Canadians. CNIB is a leader in promoting vision health and enhancing independence for people with vision loss.

Lori’s Legacy

The Lori’s Room Walkathon honours the memory of Lorna-Lynn Martin and families that are living with Cancer. Funds raised by the walkathon help to keep building on the accomplishments of the modernization and redevelopment of the chemotherapy clinic and ongoing enhancements to cancer treatments at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Canpar is proud to not only be a corporate sponsor, but also has a significant contingent of walkers who participate in the walk.

Heather Funston Memorial Scholarship

Named in honor of the late Heather Funston, who was a dedicated and popular head office employee, this "in-house" program began in 1998 and provides $2,500 scholarships towards full-time attendance at a post-secondary educational institution in Canada for four qualified children of Canpar employees.
